  1. A remote temperature monitor is a compact wireless sensor that tracks temperature and humidity conditions. The best wireless temperature monitors are accompanied with a mobile app that visualizes the real-time data and enables you to set triggers to alert you of any important changes to the conditions.

Stable temperature and humidity is often an essential factor to avoid costly and irreparable damage to property and possessions. The critical alerts from a remote temperature sensor will allow you to take preventive measures before the temperature or humidity reaches destructive levels.

The devices can connect to either a WiFi network, Bluetooth or a cellular network to achieve the remote capabilities that enable you to monitor the conditions from anywhere at any time and receive alerts on your smartphone, computer or tablet.

Remote temperature monitors are traditionally bulky and expensive devices with excessive monthly subscription fees. Companies immediately realized how vital the monitors are for a lot of business owners so as a result they became overpriced and out of reach to household consumers.

Fortunately, one company in particular, is placing the technology in the hands of all customers by manufacturing a WiFi thermometer that is simple, reliable and affordable with zero subscription fees. After extensive testing and research, we have concluded that the Temp Stick WiFi Temperature & Humidity Sensor From Ideal Sciencesis the best device overall. The Temp Stick WiFi thermometer is the easiest to set up; it’s accurate, and it offers the ideal combination of functionality and affordability in a discreet and compact battery operated unit.

  2. Austin, TX - RoverPass, the camping industry’s first full-service booking platform, announces a number of product upgrades that drastically improves the booking process, while remaining free to RV park owners
The RV industry is flooded with pricey or functionally limited reservation options. This has created a huge disconnect between tech-savvy campers and park owners with limited access to cost-effective technology solutions. RoverPass recently upgraded its reservation system, keeping it free for campgrounds while offering a more seamless, user-friendly experience for both RVers and park owners.

“The reason RoverPass competes so successfully in this space is because we offer basic booking functions and excellent customer service, but we don’t charge parks anything,” said Ravi Parikh, CEO of RoverPass. “Other reservation systems are extremely price prohibitive, keeping parks out.”

Now with RoverPass, campground owners can refund customers online with a new refund button on their owner dashboard. Parks can also display custom alerts to inform RVers of important changes on their campgrounds, opening up the lines of communication between travelers and their hosts.

“Our product has been built from the ground up with a new perspective on reservations: provide the essentials to accept online reservations and leverage everything we can for online marketing efforts. The new custom alerts is a good example of this. The owner can quickly post messages to promote special upcoming events to people using the online checkout.”

The engineering team also updated the app’s pricing configuration, making it significantly easier for campground owners to view their prices and get them changed to reflect fluid rates. Backing up the technology is a team of dedicated content and marketing strategists and campground services reps.

“I’m happy with the additional business, easy direct deposits, the information included in the reservation requests, the quality of campers they refer, the website and exposure, and most of all the personal customer service,” reported Margaret Wilson, owner of the Waco RV Park and partner campground with RoverPass.

RoverPass continues to build its platform with both the RVer and campground owner in mind to make the process of booking campsites easy and hassle-free. In a space previously governed by snail mail and leaving voicemails, this software continues to fill a gap in the outdoor travel industry.

RoverPass is a free campground reservation software and campground directory, created to make the process of booking campground easy for both travelers and campgrounds. The company also offers customer support for partner campgrounds, no-cost websites and marketing services. Read more about RoverPass here:

  3. "Kick" - Melting Ice Out of Your Cooler, New and Innovative Cooler Accessory Launches on Kickstarter. Cooler Insert launches a crowd funding campaign on Kick starter hoping to raise $15,000 to help cover expenses for their first major production run. The Cooler Inserts unique and innovative design promises to be the solution to messy, melting ice in coolers everywhere.

Cobleskill,NY ) August 16, 2017 -- No matter whether a person spends $40 or $400 on a cooler, the fact of the matter remains . . . ice MELTS! This same melting ice if left unchecked is sure to create a mess that will put the kibosh on any outdoor adventure. So begins the daily ritual that cooler users everywhere are all too familiar with: drain off melt water, check for wet food, add more ice. There has got to be a better way! That's exactly what three members from a family of avid campers in upstate New York thought too. Greg Donnell, co-creator of the Cooler Insert was the one who originally had the idea for separating the ice from the food rather than the time steeped tradition of separating the food from the ice. Shortly thereafter he teamed up with his sister, Kathy Krisowaty and her husband Ted. The three have worked tirelessly over the past few years to develop and produce the Cooler Insert, while at the same time applying for and being awarded two US utility patents with another still pending. The insert can be filled with ice cubes and water or filled with water and frozen like a rock. There's no need to worry though, the Cooler Insert is completely freeze/thaw stable and covered by a lifetime warranty. The Cooler Insert is much more than a frozen milk jug.  As the ice inside the insert melts the air inside the cooler begins to gently circulate providing fridge-like temperatures throughout the cooler. No it's not magic, it's convection. Remember that lesson from sixth grade science class? Cold air settles and warm air rises. Because of its unique shape and design the Cooler Insert actually captures and harnesses this naturally occurring process turning a cooler into a portable fridge. "While the Cooler Insert may seem simple it's extremely effective at solving the problems we all deal with while using ice inside our coolers" says, Kathy Krisowaty.

    • - "Fridge" benefits of using a Cooler Insert:
    • - Ice lasts up to 5 days (when frozen)
    • - No more layers of plastic bags needed
    • - No more frozen, wet hands
    •  - Everything stays neat and organized
    •  - Easily find, remove and return food to your cooler
    •  - Never throw away wet food again

Without question the most jaw dropping feature of the Cooler Insert has got to be the siphon. When it's time to add more ice to the insert, there's no need to unpack the cooler or remove the insert. Simply pull the provided siphon tube over the edge of the cooler to easily drain off the melted ice water. Once the water is low enough, add a bag of ice to the insert for another 2 to 3 days of worry free cooling. It's that easy. The best part is, because the Cooler Insert is manufactured from all FDA approved materials the water is a completely usable by-product. The Cooler Insert is proudly made in the USA, in Iowa.

  4. Solar Panels for RV

For most RV users, there are two main reasons you may consider adding solar panels, or wanting an RV with them already installed:

To charge your “house” batteries — Solar power provides a slow, steady charge to your RV batteries. This is actually the way batteries are made to be charged, which in turn maximizes the life of the battery.

To provide electrical power — If your RV is in an off-grid location, or as back-up power for emergencies.
