A family park, not a parking lot
Three generations of Texans have pulled off I-35 and parked under our oaks. Here's who keeps the lights on, the rates fair, and the welcome warm.
Same family, same land, for decades
North Crest was established in 1935 by Colonel James Connally, providing affordable housing for Air Force base personnel just before World War II. In 1995, Emily's father, Mark E. Williams, bought the land and set out to build the kind of park he'd want to pull into himself.
When Mark started stepping back, his daughter Emily took over with a single mission: keep the legendary customer service that earned the park its reputation, while keeping rates fair for the travelers and working folks who rely on it.
Today, Mark and Emily both still live on the property — which is exactly why, when you call, you reach an owner instead of a call center.

The family behind the gate

Mark E. Williams
Bought the park in 1995 and built much of it with his own hands — including the two-story office wrapped around a living oak, from 95% recycled material.

Emily Kirtner
Mark's daughter, now at the helm. She answers the phone herself, knows every site by heart, and greets returning guests by name — just read the reviews.

Ranger
The park's unofficial greeter. Pull in and there's a good chance Ranger trots out to say hello before anyone else does.
"It's not every day you can call an RV park and speak directly with the owners. Mark and I both live on site, 24/7."
